I am taking a week off from Wisdom from the Field (six more to go!) to make a special request to readers like you.
In this space I have made it known that I have a new book out: Leading Like a C.O.A.C.H.: 5 Strategies to Support Teaching and Learning (Corwin, 2022). It took two years to write, combining my fifteen years of experience as a building principal with current literature plus other leaders’ expertise to support a more coach-like approach to school leadership. I have practiced what I preach; I am proud of this work.
Why I am sharing this information with you?
Because you might be asking, “How can I support this important work?”

While I have become more comfortable with promoting my own work, the best endorsements are from practitioners and readers like you. Too many principals and other leaders want to make a positive difference in their schools, yet they don’t know where to start or what that support may look like. Hearing from professionals like you makes a difference.

Recommend this book to a colleague. Word of mouth is the most powerful endorsement. If you know any positional leaders, especially principals who are looking for a better approach to school improvement, this book is for them.
Post a rating and a review on Amazon. I know people have understandably different opinions about Amazon, but there is no denying its reach when colleagues are considering books to read. (And if you are worried about less royalties to the author, Corwin informed me that they sell approximately half of all their books through Amazon, so…) Your rating and especially your review brings credibility when potential readers preview a book.
Post a rating and a review on Goodreads. My go-to space when I consider which books to read.
