In previous years, we hosted a summer book study around a professional resource. These experiences were great opportunities for learning and for connecting with colleagues.
This summer, I’d like to take a step back and simply engage in pleasure reading. We can get so wrapped up in our work. It almost takes an intervention to extract ourselves out of our jobs and remember that there is more to life than teaching students and leading schools. (I speak from experience!)
With that, I invite you to join The Three Book Challenge. It’s simple:
Decide on three books you want to read in July. Here are some healthy constraints:
One title can be fiction.
One title can be nonfiction outside the field of education.
One title can be in a genre you typically don’t read.
Post these book titles in our dedicated digital space for this challenge.
Let us know how your reading is going from time to time.
