Mary Howard reminded me of a post I wrote in 2016 about action research. Recommended resources for this purposeful approach to professional learning include The Action Research Guidebook by Richard Sagor, The Reflective Educator's Guide to Classroom Research by Nancy Fichtman Dana and Diane Yendol-Hoppey, and Living the Questions by Ruth Shagoury and Brenda Power.
