Once a quarter, I like to post a thread requesting feedback on this newsletter, with the goal of continuous improvement. What do you like and what do you ignore? What do you wish there was more of and/or less of? Share your ideas in the comments.
I love it all Matt - thank you! You are in the trenches so everything is relevant and helpful. The last few weeks my inbox has been unreal (!!!) so I have a couple of the posts starred that I wasn't able to get to yet. Hopefully, as a routine settles in, I can have some blocks in the day to catch up with my professional development. Thanks so much!!!!
Hi Matt! I love coming back to your newsletters whenever things get buried in my in-box. I always find something helpful in them! For instance, our rural community now has 8 hotspots borrowed from local libraries, which is 8 more homes with access to e-learning than before :)
I love how you stay current with timely issues. Also like how you reference or credit authors and their book titles when reflecting and applying ideas.
I love everything about the newsletter Matt!. If I had one suggestion it would be to include a 1-2 minute video clip at the beginning with maybe a quick summary or one or two big takeaways or something YOU really connected to from the combined references in the newsletter and maybe a quick, "here's some things coming/I'm thinking about. I LOVE Daniel Pink's 2 minute Pinkcast and I think using the idea with a quick entry into the newsletter would be amazing and would personalize it even more. https://www.danpink.com/pinkcast/pinkcast-3-20-this-is-how-to-clear-out-your-unwanted-books/?goal=0_4d8277f97a-cc77838afc-312892657
Thank you Mary, your support is appreciated. I'm also a fan of the Pinkcast (I plan on referencing his video in my newsletter Saturday). The video message is intriguing...I will give it some thought!
I love the content, and questioning you present in your newsletter. I also appreciate you being vulnerable enough to ask for feedback. It's a great quality of a continuous learner.
You provide very helpful tips for observations centered around instruction and growth which are very helpful!! I wish I had more time to read them sometimes!
Hi Matt! I appreciate your newsletter and tips. Now that in-person school is out for the year (Indiana), I want to keep up on how to best support my students and their reading.
I like your newsletter a lot. It has given me some positive threads to start conversations with my own staff and has become a resource I stop and read regularly.
