In How to Become a Better Writing Teacher, Carl Anderson and Matt Glover offer several forms, checklists, and other resources to support writing instruction.
How do you organize your tools for teaching writers? What systems and structures do you find effective for managing your writing instruction toolbox?
Choices were key when I had my own classroom or worked alongside teachers. Paper/ book choices, writing tool choices, markers, colored pencils, stapler, cut up paper to staple on for revisions.
I also had a Writing Center for my young writers with “stuff” for writers. It was a popular center which I changed up depending on the time of the year.
Now. I am happy to see any type of writing happening in classrooms I visit. 😰😰

Joy, you extend your instructional toolbox to your students. It sounds like a shared teaching-learning experience - very empowering for young writers.
