During last week’s professional conversation, Carl Anderson suggested starting this study by choosing one action from one of the first five chapters in his and Matt Glover’s book How to Become a Better Writing Teacher.
Start small, keep it simple, and be successful.
Which action will you take first?

I feel comfortable in many of these actions, but one I am always building my craft in is 4.1 and 4.2 - Gathering stacks of mentor texts and mining them for teaching points. I want to continue to build my craft in this as I support educators in doing this. Since I support all elementary grades, that's a lot of different types of stack to learn and get more proficient in. It's such a great way to build my professional knowledge.
