Thank you for being a reader of this newsletter. Please share in the comments what you have enjoyed so far and/or ideas to consider implementing here.
Those who leave a comment will be entered into a drawing for a copy of The Listening Leader by Shane Safir, my favorite pen, and a cool notebook for conducting instructional walks!
I like that it's interactive. I can leave comments and in the summer I can participate in the book study. I also like how you engage with your readers, Matt. It's nice. I like that you share your own work with us. Sometimes it's lonely to be a principal, I feel like getting this newsletter helps me connect to my principal peers a bit more.
PS: No need to put me in the drawing. I have the book (LOVED it) and don't know how to use paper or pens anymore. Do they still make them? I'm super confused.
I agree- I like the weekly roundup and prefer it weekly so it is in smaller chunks for a quick read. I then create my own links to save list. I miss content because I do not have the paid subscription, but know that is my choice. Thanks for all you share.
Thanks Erika, I appreciate the feedback. Readers can receive a six month subscription when they contribute a post to the blog, readingbyexample.com, 300-800 words describing what's going on in your world, education-wise.
Thanks Shannon! Follow up question: Would you prefer the roundup to be weekly with five or so links and ideas, or stay with the bi-weekly newsletter of ten items?
Great resource for staying current in supporting teachers with reading instruction!
Thanks!

:-) Thanks Rita for commenting and your continuous involvement in this important work!

Hmm, I forgot about that- I could do that!
Congrats Erika - your name was selected. Email me at renwickme at gmail dot com for details on sending you the book and resources. -Matt
Thanks, done!
I like the weekly roundup that has a lot of the links and main ideas summarized. I have used ideas from that over the last year for sure.

Really either way is great. I do like that you mix things you’ve read or found and some of your writings as well.
